Omega lovers are buzzing over the 60th anniversary edition of these watches. Let’s look at the 1957 Railmaster watch, the 1957 Seamaster watch, and the 1957 Speedmaster watch.
One of the greatest comedians ever was: “I am 60 years old. That’s 16 celsius.” This is the feeling many watch-lovers are experiencing with the release Omega Trilogy 1957.
These are recreations from the original Omega Holy Trinity (Omega) tool watches. The original introduction of all three was in 1957. The Limited Edition Trilogy 60th year anniversary set is considered the chance to own the opportunity of a lifetime. It is one of the most important Omega watches, and it is also superior mechanically.
These Omega watches helped them become who they are today. Even though the 60th-anniversary trilogy may seem like a reproduction of a vintage timepiece, it is actually quite modern and fashionable.
OMEGA Trilogy 1957 Review & Comparison
The Omega Railmaster, which was originally designed as a pocket watch. In 1957 it became a wristwatch and began to be used to assist trains with keeping track of the time. The 60th anniversary Railmaster, however, was nothing like that. Because of its remarkable precision, it became a huge success. Original Railmaster featured a Caliber 284, a 30-T2-based movement, and came on a steel Omega 7077 bracelet.
Omega Speedmaster which made it’s debut in 1957 and was the first watch on the moon in 1969. The Speedmaster had since become arguably the most iconic chronograph known to man. Just about every serious collector has one and most call it by its affectionate name “Speedy”.
Then we have the Omega Seamaster 300 which braced the wrist of Mi6 agent 007 in every James Bond film since 1997’s Goldeneye when Pierce Brosnan played his first role as the iconic super spy. It had since been seen on the wrist of Daniel Craig (pictured below next to the Seamaster 007 “Spectre” Limited Edition which uses the same broad arrow hands) who just also happens to be a brand ambassador to Omega since 2010.
Why are these Omega limited edition 1957 Trilogy watches so coveted? It’s the careful attention to detail when replicating three watches so closely to the originals. Omega used the older, taller, and thinner Omega logo on the dial. They also used the 1957 font for their series logo font. These three series have seen rapid growth over the past 60-years. The Speedmaster and Seamaster series have been considered the archetype of Omega.
Petros Protopapas from the Omega Museum said that Omega worked with the museum’s product development team to recreate these timeless masterpieces. The latest technology includes computer-assisted tmography (CAT scans), a method that takes xrays from different angles in order to replicate the watch case.

1957 Omega Railmaster Review
As you can see, the scans were capable of separating the layers like the crystal, the movement and another shot from the side view of the caliber.
Omega has made many mechanical changes to the Railmaster from the original reference number CK2914. The new 1957 Railmaster is powered by the Omega 8806 caliber – Automatic/Self-Winding movement.
What makes this movement better than the original 30-T2-based calibers — the 284, 275, and 286 calibers respectively? The Master Co-Axial Chronometer designation has been given to the movement. This designation is METAS approved Master Chronometer. The watch was tested for accuracy and other elements.
The CK2914’s magnetic interference resistance is 15x greater. The original 1957 Railmaster Limited Edition was only capable of withstanding magnetic fields between 600 and 1,000 Gauss. This is the New Omega 1957 Railmaster Limited Edition.
Omega’s Co-Axial escapement found in the new limited edition will allow for longer periods between service calls as well as a four-year warranty.
